DeMaria’s leadership knew that they had to make some changes to their Detroit office and thought that coordinating the opening of the new space for their 50th Anniversary was great timing. They were in need of a modern space to bring their customers for meetings and events. When their lease in the New Center One Building was up for renewal, they made the decision to move to a larger suite in the same building- moving from 1500 sf to 2800 sf.
The team wanted a collaborative and open space with a large conference area and enough space to hold events. The leadership team recognized that in order to make the new space truly collaborative, they would need to make a culture shift. All the employees went from having their own private offices to an open floor plan with height adjustable workstations. DeMaria incorporated Beyond Wall in the only enclosed spaces in the office- the conference room and their phone room. The office also includes a large café area and a team building area with darts and a foosball table.
